Description:

Senior Program Development Specialist Responsible for the coordination of technical assistance activities with registered family day care programs and schoolage child care programs to maintain NYS regulatory compliance in Suffolk County.

Responsibilities:

Provide one to one technical assistance to programs that have demonstrated problematic compliance issues;

Conduct trainings to regulatory staff and registered programs

Conduct regulatory compliance visits in conjunction with registrars

Work closely with registrars and communicate provider progress of compliances

Conduct program observations utilizing the FDC rating scales

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Education or related field

Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred

Two more years' experience working in a child care setting

Strong knowledge of NYS Learning Guidelines and developing individualized program planning

Knowledge of NYS OCFS Child Care regulations

Ability to travel throughout Suffolk County

NYS Credentialed Trainer
