RISSE Childhood Education Program Associate
The Childhood Education Program Associate is a part-time position overseeing youth educational services at RISSE. The purpose of this position is to help students develop and strengthen academic, English language and social skills. Associate will provide primary leadership for the Afterschool and Summer Enrichment Programs on a day to day basis, including creating and implementing curriculum for Afterschool and weekly themes for Summer Enrichment.
Hours: noon to 6 pm, Monday through Friday during the school year, 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday for a six week summer program
Compensation: Hourly rate, 30 hours/week during the week/full time for the six week summer program
Develop and implement curriculum in consultation with teaching staff for students in grades K through 7.
Provide supervision, evaluation, and support to group teachers
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Responsible for communication with schools, parents and outside agencies
An Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education or a related field and two years direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity
OR two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program.
