Job Description - Toddler Lead Teacher

Our growing school looks to employ high energy, motivated individuals who are passionate about teaching and their students

Teacher Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Degree (Associate, Bachelor, Master)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a licensed center
  • Be able to work part-time or full-time hours
  • CPR/ First Aid Certification and fingerprints are preferred

Daily Responsibilities Our Head and Assistant Teachers work together to: Prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Prepare children for kindergarten by introducing concepts they will explore further in kindergarten and elementary school.

Work with children in groups or one on one, depending on the needs of children and the subject matter. Plan and carry out a curriculum that targets different areas of child development, such as language, motor, and social skills. Organize activities so children can learn about the world, explore interests, and develop talents

Develop schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime.

Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring problems to the attention of parents and administration. Keep records of the students’ progress, routines, and interests, and keep parents informed about their child’s development.

Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.

Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:

Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds. Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails.

Participate in appropriate professional activities. Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations as directed.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
