Description:

STMPG is seeking a part-time aid/para for the 2021-2022 school year. This opportunity is a part-time position, working 2-3 afternoons a week (approximately 6-9 hours) assisting in a young 3s classroom. This position would be joining an existing team of warm and supportive teachers. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who has taken time off from the field and is interested in returning to a classroom setting, or for someone to gain initial classroom experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with classroom set up, clean up
  • Assist during Snack Time
  • Assist with helping children in the bathroom
  • Assist on the rug with children during Circle Time and free play
  • Assist children on stairs during arrival and dismissal

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior experience working with young children

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about working with young children
  • Have a flexible, positive, calm nature and a can-do attitude
  • Be able to play with children on the floor
  • Be able to carry children if needed
