The Indy Lab is seeking a highly organized, motivated and loving preschool substitute teacher to fill in for either a half-day (8:30am - 12:15pm) and/or full day (8:30am - 3:30pm) when we have a teacher out sick and/or taking time off. We would love to work with someone who has a flexible schedule and who is able to substitute with little advanced notice (24 hours or less). This is a contract job offering Job Type: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. This position is a day shift position being offered Monday to Friday when a substitute is needed. Must be able to reliably commute.

Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for:

- Room set up (preparing materials for segments, sorting toys)

- Maintenance (vacuuming, refilling paper towels/toilet paper in bathrooms, cleaning table tops)

- Supervising 2-3 year olds during structured segments and free play

- Diaper checks

- Handing off any important information to parents at drop off/pick up.

Qualifications:

Experience with children: 1 year (Required)

Classroom experience: 1 year (Required)

Early childhood education: 1 year (Required)

Childcare: 1 year (Required)

OCFS (Office of Children and Family Services) cleared (Required)

CDA (Child Development Associates) cleared (Required)

Work authorization (Required)
