Artz N More is seeking for an After School Teacher Assistant!

This is a part time job.

Shifts/Hours:

Monday - Friday 1:30PM - 5:30PM 

Location: 532 5th Ave Troy, NY 12182

We are a before and after school care program. We are open for our school agers on days that they have half day, no school (excluding some holidays) and in the summer, which allows for a potential for more hours. You will be working with children ages four to twelve. The role of this position is to assist the after school teacher, help with planning and provide competent supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise children during care 
  •  Helping students with homework
  •  Tutoring in academic subjects such as reading and math 
  • Assist with behavior management discipline
  • Implement art activities/projects/games
  • Making sure classroom is clean before leaving 
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents regarding their children
  • Get children off school bus 

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent or 1 year working with children under the age of thirteen
  • Comfortable working with children ages 4 to 12 years old 
  • Flexible to work part time and full time hours 
  • Pediatric CPR certified or willing to get CPR certified 
Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
Preferred Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
