Description:

Only mature, friendly dependable and punctual need apply. It’s a high energy position, and multi-task is required.

Monday - Friday

Work Shift: 2 pm - 6 pm

Working with children 1 years - 12 years old in a home based daycare mixed ages.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate for the afternoon.
  • Completer on Brightwheel a learning of weekly activities schedule
  • Provide basic care needs: diaper changing, potty training, washing hands & etc.
  • Notify Lead Teacher of children supplies needs and restock daily child supplies for care needs.
  • Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities.
  • Attend staff meeting to discuss program children and staffing concerns.
  • Assist in monthly Queens Community House coaching visits.
  • Assist with CACFP and DOH unannounced program inspection.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience with childcare.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • First aid/CPR certified or willing to take within 3 months.
Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED
Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential (with credit-bearing certificate)
