Description:

ABC currently has paraprofessional positions available at the Keith Haring School (318 E 116th Street) and the Cody Gifford House (404 E 91st Street) in the Early Intervention/Early Head Start program.

Teachers in the Early Intervention/Early Head Start program at the Keith Haring School and the Cody Gifford House work with children birth-age 3. The position is full time, Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm (unpaid one hour lunch).

Paraprofessionals are eligible for benefits if the employee works over 1,000 hours in their first year (21 hours/week). Responsibilities:

Review the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) or Individual Education Plan (IEP)
Provide close supervision as indicted on the IFSP or IEP
Work collaboratively with the classroom team and related service providers;
Attend team meetings and trainings, as needed.
Bilingual Spanish preferred

Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED
Ability to work as a team member
Good communication skills
Bonus: Paraprofessional certification, Infant/Toddler CDA, experience as a para or a TA

Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED

Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential
